During our first session Robert continued to inform me that his home life has always been great and that there was nothing out of the ordinary to report. At that point, I became somewhat frustrated because we were not cracking the surface.
The second session was more of the same, the client continued to drink and believe that there were no issues to discuss. I left that session wondering when the client would be willing to share the truth about his drinking and relationship about his father and mother..
