Personal and professional development training

What causes a person to choose drugs and alcohol as a coping mechanism for survival? We usually think of home as a safe place for comfort and connection but what if home is a place of chaos and instability, uncertainty and abuse.

From the day we are born we begin learning how to socialize and survive. Ideally, we want every child born to have nurturing caregivers, but the reality is more often something different. It is my intention in writing this book to create a resource that can be used by people in the helping professions, counselors, social workers, probation officers and educators; that more people in recovery from addiction get both clean and free and stay that way!

An inside look at Drug & Alcohol offenders and their struggle with abuse and dependency. Through the eyes of a Probation Officer who has conducted over 8000 interviews.
