How do you stop a Bully?  The more awareness that is created the less youth suicides there will be — and all year round, you are one step closer to putting an end to bullying!

A bully is an individual who meets his “need” for self-worth, respect, empowerment, and validation, tragically, by repeatedly, dis-empowering others, over time. The bully will use verbal, physical, racial, sexual, financial, and cyber tactics, to name a few, to get what he wants without the other person’s consent. As one can discern bullying can be presented in a variety of ways. So, how do you know if you are getting bullied? There is blatant bullying

which is up front and personal for all to see. For example, “Give me your lunch money or else,” Or, “If you don’t do this little favor for me you future here might be limited.”

On of my most popular edicts is to say, “Age is not a direct correlation of maturity. Just because someone is a specific age does not mean they display maturity.” Other ways to bully or “adult bullying” are what I call, “micro bullying.”

The one thing we all have in common is being human….we have experiences….life affirming or life diminishing (darkness)…..we want to talk about the whole spectrum of the human condition…..and make sense of it…..because of this we have created behavior….navigates in the world and survive it…..we create habits that work in the moment….today we do need those particular habits….we will make sense of the habit…

The human condition refers to the positive and negative aspects of being human. Events every person goes through like love, sex, childhood and death encompass the human condition.

Generally, the human condition refers to anything unique about being human, no matter the gender, race or religion of the person. Humans, unlike other beings have a sense of curiosity, try to understand the meaning of life, search for acceptance and gratification and understand and accept the inevitability of death. The human condition also refers to the fact that humans, unlike any other known species, are self-aware and reflective of the past.

  • Meet with fellow students and discuss how you can Change The Culture at your school.
  • Use our Student Participation Toolkit to begin conversations on how your school can be judgement and bully free.
  • Hold a discussion in your classroom where you allow students to openly speak and discuss their experiences with bullying and cyberbullying, and how these experiences have affected them and how they dealt with these moments.

The Needs Based Method Is a therapeutic process that is used to uncover the truth behind a specific behavior. The process empowers the individual to understand their emotions/behavior that arises when a specific need is met or not met in the moment so they can change it.
